RESOLUTION NO. 91-26
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLANNING GRANT
TO PERFORM A SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT COST ANALYSIS AND WASTE
COMPOSITION STUDY
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough submitted a Community Solid Waste
Management Planning Grant Proposal to the State of Alaska Department
of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) to develop a Solid Waste
Management Plan for the Kodiak Urban Area Road System; and
WHEREAS, the ADEC selected to fund two elements of the Kodiak Island Borough
proposal in the amount of $19,306; and
WHEREAS, these funds will be utilized to perform a Solid Waste Management Cost
Analysis and Waste Composition Study; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough will utilize staff time for an in-kind match for the
grant performance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK
ISLAND BOROUGH:
Section 1. The Assembly accepts the Solid Waste Management Planning Grant in the
amount of $19,306 for performance of a Solid Waste Management Cost
Analysis and Waste Composition Study.
Section 2. The Borough Mayor or his designee is authorized to enter into a contractual
agreement with the State of Alaska Department of Environmental
Conservation for performance and administration of the Grant.
