RESOLUTION NO. 91-24
A RESOLUTION SETTING SEWER AND WATER RATES AND UTILITY
CONNECTION FEES IN SERVICE DISTRICT NO. 1 AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 82-3-0 was adopted by the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly on February 4, 1982; and
WHEREAS, Section 13.01.130 of Ordinance No. 82-3-0 provides for establishment of
rates and service classes by resolution of the Borough Assembly; and
WHEREAS, the City of Kodiak has passed Ordinance No. 861 and Ordinance No. 862
increasing the sewer and water rates and utility connection fees; and
WHEREAS, Service District No. 1 Advisory Board has held a public hearing and
established a fiscal year 91-92 budget that reflects the increased costs of
water and wastewater treatment; and
WHEREAS, the water and sewer funds are operated as enterprise funds and the water
and sewer rates and utility connection fees to Service District No. 1
residents must be increased to balance revenue and expenditures;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK
ISLAND BOROUGH:
Section 1. Service District No. 1 sewer and water rates and utility connections be as
follows effective July 1, 1991.
WATER RATE: The approved water rate charged by the City of Kodiak for
residences and businesses outside the Corporate City Limits plus ten
dollars ($10) per month.
WATER CONNECTION COST: The approved water service connection fee
charged by the City of Kodiak for residences and businesses outside the
Corporate City Limits plus Kodiak Island Borough connection fee.

SEWER RATE: The approved sewer rate charged by the City of Kodiak for
residences and businesses outside the Corporate City Limits plus twelve
dollars ($12) per month.
SEWER CONNECTION COST: The approved sewer connection fee
charged by the City of Kodiak for residences and businesses outside the
Corporate City Limits plus Kodiak Island Borough connection fee.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 6th DAY OF JUNE, 1991.
