RESOLUTION NO. 91-01
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE
TO INSPECT, SECURE AND SIGN FOR SURPLUS FEDERAL PROPERTY
FOR USE BY THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly is the duly authorized governing body
of Kodiak Island Borough and having examined the general terms and
conditions of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949,
as amended, wherein such act authorizes the administrator of the General
Services Administration (GSA) to transfer surplus personal property for
donation to non—federal public agencies for their use; and
WHEREAS, guidelines for the Federal Surplus Personal Property Donation Program
requires the designation of an authorized representative of the Kodiak
Island Borough for the purposes of inspecting, securing and signing for
surplus property for use by Kodiak Island Borough; and
WHEREAS, the said representative is hereby authorized to bind the institution to the
particular terms and conditions of transfer which are or may be imposed by
the execution of the Form SF123 or the Surplus Property Service
Distribution Document; and
WHEREAS, the said representative is moreover empowered to delegate the authority
imposed upon him to such people as he considers reasonably necessary
to accomplish these purposes; and he is hereby instructed to confer upon
the people designated by him such authority as is necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
does hereby designate Jerome M. Selby, Borough Mayor, the represent—
ative of the Borough for the purpose of inspecting, securing and signing for
Surplus Federal Property including the execution of such documentation as
may be required to accomplish same in the interest of the Borough.
