RESOLUTION NO. 90-71
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE GRANT FUNDS
FROM THE SOUTHERN REGION EMS COUNCIL
WHEREAS, the state of Alaska has developed and funded a
statewide Emergency Medical Service System; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has adopted health
powers; and
WHEREAS, the delivery of Emergency Medical Services on
Kodiak Island is a boroughwide concern which requires cooperation
of the Kodiak Island Borough, U.S. Coast Guard, Kodiak Island
Hospital, city of Kodiak Ambulance Service, KANA EMS program and
other agencies; and
WHEREAS, these funds have passed to the Kodiak Area
Native Association for the past several years to supplement the
village EMS program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island
Borough Assembly to accept the grant funds of $32,450 and direct
staff to complete the necessary forms and accounting to manage such
funds, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the grant of $32,450 shall be
passed through as a grant and staff is directed to complete the
forms and accounting to discharge this program.
