AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PAVING
OF SARGENT CREEK ROAD, SALMONBERRY DRIVE, AND MIDDLE BAY
DRIVE, AND ALLOCATING AREAWIDE ROAD FUNDS TO THE WOMENS BAY
SERVICE AREA FOR PREPARATORY WORK
WHEREAS, the Womens Bay Service Area Advisory Board has
requested that the entrance of Sargent Creek Road, Salmonberry Drive,
and Middle Bay Drive be paved during the summer of 1988; and
WHEREAS, some preparatory work is needed to widen the existing
roads to sufficient width to accommodate the paving project; and
WHEREAS, the Womens Bay Advisory Board desires to accomplish
the preparatory work with their maintenance contractor in order to limit
costs; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds remain from the Womens Bay Road
project in 1986 to complete the preparatory work;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island
Borough Assembly that staff is authorized to advertise for bids for the
paving of Sargent Creek Road, Salmonberry Drive and Middle Bay Drive
as requested by the Womens Bay Service Area Advisory Board; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the balance of the areawide road
funds in the Sargent Creek Road Project ($185,998.00) are authorized
for the Womens Bay Service Area for work preparing the existing roads
for paving.
