A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE RURAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
INITIATIVE GRANT (REDI) PROGRAM FOR THE CHINIAK TSUNAMI
SAFE SITE /COMMUNITY BUILDING
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough wishes to provide a
Tsunami Safe Site /Community for use in the Chiniak community; and
WHEREAS, the Borough is an applicant for a technical
assistance grant in the amount of $15,000 from the Alaska Department of
Community and Regional Affairs,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of the
Kodiak Island Borough is hereby authorized to negotiate and execute
any and all documents required for granting and managing funds on
behalf of the Borough.
The Mayor is also authorized to executie any subsequent
amendments to said grant agreement to provide for adjustments to the
project within the scope of services or tasks, based upon the needs of
the project.
