1988-25 Approving the FY89 School District Budget and Determining the Total Amount of Funds to be Made Available from Local Sources.(submit the school budget for the following school year to the Borough Assembly
by April 1 for approval; and
KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY APPROVING THE FY 89
SCHOOL DISTRICT BUDGET AND DETERMINING THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF FUNDS TO BE MADE
;AVAILABLE FROM LOCAL SOURCES.
WHEREAS. within thirty days after receipt of the budgat the Assembly
shall determine the amount of money to be made available from local sources for
school purposes and shall furnish the School Board with a statement of the sum
to be made available; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough School District did on March 28.
1968 approve the FY 89 budget in ths amount of 816.269,000, and transmit this to
the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly; and
WHEREAS, trio budgat requests that • total of 12,390.000 be
appropriated from local sources.
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
accepts ths FY 89 Kodiak Island Borough School District budgat in the amount of
116,269.000 based on the projected FY 89 funding by the State of Alaska and
hereby authorizes a local appropriation in the amount of 82,390,000 from the FY
1988 Kodiak Island Borough School Distict carry -over and funds appropriated in
the Kodiak Island Borough FY 1969 Budget.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Borough staff is hereby instructed to
notify the School District of this action and take all steps nee •asary to Izmir*
that the local appropriation is included in the FY 89 Kodiak Island Borough
budget.
