RESOLUTION NO. 88 -2e -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY URGING THE STATE
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND PUBLIC FACILITIES TO REPAIR AND MAINTAIN
REZANOF DRIVE.
WHEREAS. Rezanof Drive is • State of Alaska Highway which is included
in the Federal Highway system; and
WHEREAS. in recent months Retinal Drive has begun to develop chuck-
holes and other maintenance problems which were the first signs of disrepair
on Mill Bay Road three years ago; and
WHEREAS. Rezanof Drive is • relatively new highway constructed with
millions of dollars of funds; and
WHEREAS. maintenance and repair now is much more cost affective than
total reconstruction in just • few years.
N. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that Governor Cowper and the State Department of Transportation and Public
Facilities are hereby urged to immediately repair the existing damage and
incruee the level of maintenance on Rezanof Drive.
