RESOLUTION NO. 88 -23 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY ENDORSING THE
TRANSFER OF MILL BAY ROAD TO THE CITY OF KODIAK WITH ADEQUATE FUNDS FOR REPAIR.
WHEREAS. Mill Bay Road Is currently • State of Alaska highway which
is in a terrible state of disrepair; and
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska has not made funds avai [able to repair
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska highway standards require a considerable
amount of funds to be expanded which would not be required for a city street:
and
WHEREAS, the City of Kodiak has offered to accept the transfer of
Mill Bay Road from the State of Alaska thus changing it from • State highway
to • city street; end
WHEREAS. the condition of transfer to the city is the requirement
that adequate funds to repair /reconstruct Mill Bay Road be appropriated by
the State of Alaska to the City of Kodiak.
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that the City of Kodiak request to transfer M;II Bay Road with adequate funds
for repair be accepted by the State of Alaska.
