A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING
PURCHASE OF AN UPGRADE OF THE DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM. n
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough obtained an ex>psable data
processing system in the System 36 in 1993, and

WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough and the Kodrib Island Borough
School District have greatly increased utilization of the System 36 since it
was purchased, and /,gyp/

WHEREAS, the current number of users on the }'stem is twice t
number the system was designed to support and the resulting slow response time
is wasting a substantial amount of user time, ��a��nd
WHEREAS, the System 36 as purchased'9 , �� the smallest machine
available with the idea of expanding the ma tek;as needed, and
WHEREAS, system expansion is d.t4 Pely needed at this time to allow
efficient staff time and machine util ii
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLJED' the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that the Mayor is authorized to pur■ aber an upgrade to an IBM Model 201 for an
amount not to exceed 632,608.00. �.
