1986 BOROUGH POPULATION FOR STATE REVENUE AND MUNICIPAL ASSISTANCE FUND
PAYMENTS.

WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough conducted a special census
during the summer of 1982, and
WHEREAS, the special census was certified by the State of Alaska
and provides baseline poplation and housing information, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has used the certified 1982
census as a baseline population figure; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has estimated the 1986 Kodiak
" Island Borough and City of Kodiak population based on the 1982 baseline
population and subsequent annual estimates using the "housing unit method."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly declares that the 1986 population estimate for state revenue sharing
and municipal assistance fund payments are:
City of Kodiak 6,668
Remainder of Borough 7,284
Total Kodiak Island Borough 13,952
