1986-59 Accepting a Transfer of a Portion of USS 3945 from the City of Kodiak as a Baler and Asbestos Disposal Site.A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY ACCEPTING TRANSFER
OF A PORTION OF U. S. SURVEY 3915 FROM THE CITY OF KODIAK AS A BALER AND
ASBESTOS DISPOSAL SITE.
WHEREAS. the Kodiak Island Borough has constructed an asbestos
disposal site on • portion of U. S. Survey 3946. and
WHEREAS, the Amiably has voted to locate the garbage baler facility
at the existing sanitary landfill, and
WHEREAS, the but baler site at the landfill is also located on a
portion of U. S. Survey 3946, and
WHEREAS, the City of Kodiak has voted to transfer title of ths
nee assary portion of U. S. Survey 3946 to the Kodiak Island Borough subject to
1. the City being allowed to us* • portion of the sits for disposal of
asbestos from municipal buildings. and 2. • temporary •aument across said
tract for access to the solid waste disposal site until such time as the Kodiak
Island Borough assumes ful flarbege powrs.
NOM. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly hereby •cc•pts the transfer of the
designated portion of U. S. Survey 3946 subject to the conditions that
1. the City of Kodiak will be allowed to use a portion of this land for
di 1 of asbestos in accordance with all requirements for asbestos
disposal and at the expense of the City of Kodiak, and
2. a temporary moment across said tract is granted for access to the
solid waste disposal site until such time as the baler facility is
operational and the Kodiak Island Borough assumes garbage power.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island Borough Mayor is
hereby authorized to have the necssssry survey work completed and deeds
prepared to •if•ct the transfer.
