RESOLUTION N0. 88 -48 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING
EXPENDITURE OF UP TO 1300,000 FOR CONSTRUCTION AND UPGRADE OF THE TRACK IN THE
CITY OF KODIAK BARANOF PARK.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly has appropriated $300.000
for renovation and upgrade of the track in the Baranof Park, and
WHEREAS, the City of Kodiak has appropriated $200,000 for the same
purpose, and
WHEREAS, the City of Kodiak engineering department has designed the
drainage and upgrade of the track, and
WHEREAS, the City of Kodiak is prepared to go out to bid for the
contract and supervise the construction, and
WHEREAS, the City of Kodiak public works department may possibly be
'able to supplement the construction efforts with their own manpower and equip-
ment.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that the amount not to exceed $200,000 is made available to the City of Kodiak
for the upgrade and construction and drainage of the track in Baranof Street
Park, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the remaining $100,000 is available for
this project if the City of Kodiak appropriates an additional $100,000 to match
the Borough funding, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the mayor and staff ere hereby directed
Ls make all accounting changes and all other neteasary documents be completed
