RESOLUTION N0. 88 -48 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING THE
RECEIPT AND EXPENDITURE OF MUNICIPAL GRANTS APPROPRIATED BY THE 1988
LEGISLATURE. A.S. 37.05.315.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough (hereinafter called the Grantee)
has been appropriated funds by the State of Alaska (hereinafter called the
State) 1988 Legislature as governed by A.S. 37.05.315, and
WHEREAS, the Grantee is willing to undertake the performance of the
various projects authorized by the State, and
WHEREAS, the Grantee has the authority under state law or local
charter to provide the services for which funds were appropriated, and
WHEREAS, the State has the authority to enter into an agreement by
A.5. 37.05.315.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island Borough is
hereby authorized to receive and expend municipal grants from the State of
Alaska in the amount of 61,929,000 for the following five projects:
1. 3/87 -406 Kodiak State Fairgrounds Fire Cods Deficiency 6 80,000
2. 7/67-420 Akhiok Generator Upgrade 44,000
3. 3/87 -407 Kodiak Island Borough Hospital 800,000
4. 3/87 -408 Kodiak Island Borough Hospital Equipment 25,000
5. 4/87 -456 Service District I Water 8 Sewer 1,000,000
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly that the
Borough Mayor or his designee is hereby authorized to prepare and submit grant
( !agreements for the above - indicated five projects.
