RESOLUTION NO. 86 -43 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING THE
RENEGOTIATION AND THREE -YEAR EXTENSION OF A PREVIOUSLY AUTHORIZED LEASE FOR A
DRY DUMP SITE.
WHEREAS, a dry dump site has been in existence in a Portion of U.S.
Survey 3467 since 1966; and
WHEREAS, the removal of junk and abandoned vehicles is a community
priority and creates a more pleasant living environment; and
WHEREAS, section ten (10) of the present lease provides for renewal
of the lease; and
WHEREAS, the Lease boundaries will be modified to provide for a
borough garbage bailing facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly authorizes the Mayor to renegotiate the lease for the dry dump site
with the following conditions:

By
1. A renewal period by three (3) years with a three year extension
subject to scrap iron be removed during the first three -year period;
and
2. The area presently impacted by the dry dump site shall not be
increased.
