1986-31 Acquiring Industrial Land at Womens Bay for the Specific Purpose of Encouraging Development of the Kodiak International Shipworks.KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH RESOLUTION N0. 04 -31 -R A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY ACQUIRING INDUS- TRIAL LAND AT POMP'S BAY FOR THE SPECIFIC PURPOSE OF ENCOURAGING DEVELOPMENT OF ;THE KODIAK INTERNATIONAL SHIPWORKS. WHEREAS. Kodiak International Shipworks has designed • boat repair facility with offis* warehouse building to be located at an existing dock facility in Masons Bay, and • WHEREAS, Kodiak International Shipworks holds transferable porches* options for approziwat*ly 44.36 sores of land contingent to the dock, and WHEREAS, the 44.35 acres are currently owned by Konilg, Inc. (approx- ; imately 42.66 acres/ and Lash Corporation ( approximately 1.0 acres), and WHEREAS, the North Pacific Development Company has requested that the • Kodiak Island Borough purchase the above described land and make it available by lease to the North Pacific Development Company for construction of the Kodiak International Shipworks ship lift and repair facility and support services building, and WHEREAS, a 50.3 million financing for the building and ship lift and repair facility including complete refurbishment of the dock facility are contingent upon the land purchase and lease by the Kodiak Island Borough.
