1986-28 Ratifying and Confirming the Results of the Special Election Held March 18, 1986.WHEREAS, pursuant to law, the Kodiak Island Borough held a Special
Election on March 18, 1986, at which time the following propositions were
voted on:
PROPOSITION NO. 1 - the question of the issuance of General
Obligation Bonds not to exceed 59,930,000 to pay the cost of School
Improvements.
PROPOSITION NO. 2 - referendum to repeal Ordinance Nos. 85 -01 -0,
85 -05-0 and 85 -06 -0.
WHEREAS, the returns of said election have been delivered to and
canvassed by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly:
Section 1. That the Assembly finds and hereby ratifies and
declares the results of the Special Eleciton held within the Kodiak Island
Borough on Tuesday, March 18, 1986, to be as follows:
That Proposition No 1 received 881 YES votes and 673 NO votes.
Therefore, the question of the issuance of General Obligation Bonds, not to
exceed 59,930,000 is declared passed and approved.
That Proposition No. 2 received 1021 YES votes and 529 NO
votes. Therefore, Ordinance Nos. 85 -01 -0, 85 -06-0 and 85 -0% -0 are repealed.
