A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING
II LEASING OF THE OFFICE SPACE IN THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH BUILDING.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough is the owner of Lots 5 and 7 of
it
U. S. Survey 2536A and all improvements thereon, end
I WHEREAS, the mein building, a former dormitory, has been converted t
an office building of which approximately 77 percent is used for office space

the remaining space Is comllon area, and
11 WHEREAS, the property dead contains a restrictive clause limiting the
use to school and other purposes only, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Ass•mbly desires to manage the
u Property as • self - sustaining enterprise and to moot this
pool it is advantag-
'1 sous to provide full occupancy by renting the available space to
occupants, qualified
giving first priority to school and borough use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Boruph Assembly
that the Borough Mayor is authorized to negotiate leases with the following
governmental and qualifying non - profit coporations at • cost of 91.00 per
square foot:
Space 01 Kodiak Island Borough School District - 4,991 square feet
Space 62 Kodiak Island Borough - 10,094 square feet
Space 93 City of Kodiak - 3,696 square feet
Space 04 KMXT Radio Station - 1.413 square feet
Space 66 Kodiak Island Borough - 573 square feet
Space e6 Legislative Affairs - 942 square fest.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the terms and conditions of lease shall
be those provided in the written document as prepared and entitled 1•+s•
