A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK BOROUGH ASSEMBLY URGING FUNDING FOR THE
i FORT ABERCROMBIE STATE HISTORICAL PARK.
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska Division of Parks has been developing
, the Fort Abercrombie State Historical Park for severaI years, and

WHEREAS, the Division has developed plans to continue the refurbish -
I I moot of the historic Millar Point Bunker at Fort Abercrombie as a museum, and
WHEREAS, such a museum would be a positive addition for the tourism
II industry d•valoping in Kodiak, and
II WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the refurbishment is 6100,000, and
I WHEREAS, the project has been reviewed by the Division of Parks and
is Included on the final priority list and the Governor's budget for funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island Borough
;Assembly that the Alaska State Legislature and Governor Sheffield are urged to
'fully fund this project.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be sent to
