1986-17 Authorizing the Acquisition of Construction and Maintenance Easements to Accommodate Construction of SD# 1 Water and Sewer Improvements, Project # 85-2.WHEREAS, it is necessary to obtain construction and maintenance easements
from the following property owners before proceeding with construction:
1. A Portion of the Old MW Bay Road (Sunset Drive) Right-of -Way
Bertha E. Nachtweih
2. Lot 1A, Block I, Woodland Acres Subdivision
Jock Bevis
3. Lot 2A, Block 1, Woodland Acres Subdivision
John Nosich and Sarah Nosich
4. Lot 3, Block I, Woodland Acres Subdivision
Bertha E. Nachtweih;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Borough Mayor is authorized to
negotiate and execute the necessary easement agreements or initiate condemnation
proceedings as may be necessary, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Twelve thousand dollar ($12,000.) be
transferred from the Contingencies Account, No. 055- 2 28 - 589 - 28-81, to the Acquisition
Account, No. 055 -2 33 - 581- 28 -81, for the purpose of purchasing the necessary easements.

A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH AUTHORIZING THE
ACQUISITION OF CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE EASEMENTS TO ACCOMMO-
DATE CONSTRUCTION OF SERVICE DISTRICT NO. 1 WATER AND SEWER
IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT 140. 85 -2.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly approved Resolution No. 81 -52 -R
on September 3, 1981 accepting Grant No. 4 -255 from the State of Alaska for construction
of the Island Lake Water and Sewer; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Assembly approved Resolution No. 81 -87 -R accepting a
matching fund grant from the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation; and
WHEREAS, the firm of URS Engineers was retained to prepare construction
documents; and
WHEREAS, the final plans for the Service District No. I Woodland Acres Water and
Sewer, Project No. 85 -2, were approved by the Service District No. 1 Advisory Board on
June 3, 1985; and
