RESOLUTION NO. 86-09 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AWARDING
THE CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SERVICE DISTRICT NO. 1 WATER AND
SEWER IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT NO. 85 -10.
WHEREAS, Invitations for Bids for Service District No. 1 Water and Sewer
Improvements, Project No. 85 -1(B), were advertised on October 31, November 7, 14, and
21, 1985, as required by Kodiak Island Borough Code Section 3.16.040A, and
WHEREAS, bids were opened at 3:00 pan. on Thursday, December 19, 1985, and
WHEREAS, the low three submitted bids were as follows:
TATCO & Associate, J.V. $ 963,872
The Massart Company 1,130,834
Brecban Enterprises, Inc. 1,269,845
WHEREAS, URS Engineers have checked financial and technical qualification
references for TATCO & Associate, J.V., and have indicated that the firm is both
financially and technically capable of performing the work under Project No. 85 -1(3),
and
WHEREAS, the Service District No. 1 Advisory Board reviewed the bids during
its meeting on January 6, 1986, and recommended that the contract for construction of
Project No. 85 -1(3) be awarded to TATCO & Associate, J.V., in the amount of
$963,872.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
tbat the contract for Service District No. 1 Water and Sewer Improvements, Project No.
85 -1(3), be awarded to TATCO & Associate, J.V., in the amount of $963,872.00, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly that the
Borough Mayor is authorized to execute such contract documents and change orders as
may be necessary to complete the project.
