A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
CONSTRUCTION OF A HELIPORT IN THE VICINITY OF SPRUCE CAPE
;TO SUBMIT A GRANT REQUEST FOR FEDERAL SUPPORTING THE
ASSISTANCE IN THE AND DIRECTING STAFF
AMOUNT OF $430,000,
WHEREAS, The Borough Assembly recognizes the urgent need for
construction of a Heliport at Spruce Cape, and
WHEREAS, The Kodiak Island Borough Planning and Zoning Commission
:granted a conditional use permit for a helicopter landing pad located at
'' 29, USS 3099, 2850 Lot
Spruce Cape Road at the request of the Borough Assembly,
'and
WHEREAS, the FAA has completed an aeronautical stud
heliport site Y of the proposed
and granted conditional approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
to support the construction of a heliport in the vicinity of Spruce Cape, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that staff submit a grant request for
Federal Assistance in the amount of $430,000.
