RESOLUTION N0. 83 -96 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING THE
RECEIPT AND EXPENDITURE OF MUNICIPAL GRANTS APPROPRIATED BY THE 1982
LEGISLATURE, AS 37.05.315.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough (hereinafter called the Grantee)
has been appropriated funds by the State of Alaska (hereinafter called the
State) 1982 legislature as governed by AS 37.05.315, and
WHEREAS, the Grantee is willing to undertake the performance of the
'various projects authorized by the State, and
WHEREAS, the Grantee has the authority under State Law or local
charter to provide the services for which funds were appropriated, and
WHEREAS, the State has the authority to enter into an agreement by
AS 37.05.315.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island Borough is
hereby authorized to receive and expend municipal grants from the State of
Alaska in the amount of $813,000 for the following four (4) projects:
1. Grant #1 -707 Kodiak Island School Upgrade $169,000
2. Grant #1 -708 Kodiak Schools Auditorium Design $294,000
3. Grant #8 -748 Karluk /Boardwalks $ 50,000
4. Grant #8 -749 Borough Road Development $300,000
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly that
the Borough Manager, Phil C. Shealy, is hereby authorized to prepare and submit
grant agreements for the above indicated four (4) projects.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 1st day of September , 1983 by the
Borough Assembly.
