RESOLUTION NO. 83 -94 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING
THE AWARD OF AN AU CONTRACT FOR DESIGN CHANGES TO THE BOROUGH OWNED PORTION
!OF THE OUZINKIE WASTE HEAT SYSTEM.

WHEREAS, the Alaska Power Authority financed the installation of
waste heat recovery on the City of Ouzinkie generators for use by the
school, and
WHEREAS, the system does not provide heat to all portions of the
' school, and
WHEREAS, proper control devices were not installed to allow
maximum benefits, and
WHEREAS, the City of Ouzinkie is now purchasing new generators with
waste heat capability, and
WHEREAS, the State capital expenditure budget provided $169,000
for various school projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that staff is authorized to enter
into an AU contract with Fryer Pressley Engineering to design the necessary
, changes to the Borough owned portion of the Ouzinkie waste heat system, with
total cost not to exceed to $4,500.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 4th day of August , 1983 by
the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly.
