NTENT ON REMOTE CABIN PERMITS.

RESOLUTION NO. 83 -91 -R
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly propose Remote Cabin
Permits on January 18, 1983 and directed preparation of an ap +ropriate
ordinance by staff, with review by the Planning Commission;/ .nd
WHEREAS, Ordinance number 83- 49 -O(A) is the rest t of eight months
of work by the Assembly, the Planning Commission, and the staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Borough Assembly that its
intent on Remote Cabin Permits is as follows:
1. Remote Cabin Permits are intended fory'.ersonal recreational
use in undisturbed natural surroundings;/
2. Remote Cabin sites are not intende.for permanent residency
which requires public services such as schools, fire protection,
or law enforcement;
3. Remote cabin permits are a use •rivilege which vest no land
rights or interests with the holde ; and
4. Remote cabin permits are to •orary in nature and shall auto-
matically expire on the date of a Borough Land Sale including the
land covered by the permit.
