A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AWARDING A
CONTRACT FOR AN ENGINEER TO SUPERVISE THE INSTALLATION OF A DIKE TO PROTECT
AGAINST SPILLS FROM THE SCHOOL FUEL TANKS AT LARSEN BAY.
WHEREAS, funds for this project are included in the State capital
expenditure budget, and
WHEREAS, the work for this project will be accomplished by residents
of Larsen Bay, and
WHEREAS, design documents were properly prepared by Art Whitmer and
Associates, and
WHEREAS, an engineer is needed on site to supervise the work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that a contract for supervision of the dike installation at Larsen Bay be
awarded to to Art Whitmer and Associates of Anchorage, Alaska. Total
installation cost not to exceed $48,540.
