ii WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough is in the process of
'1 subdividing land relinquished by the Alaska Department of Trans-
portation and Public Facilities on July 12, 1977 which was part
!of the Alaska Department of Highways Materials Source No.
M.S.
WHEREAS
a portion of this land is separated from
' Gara Drive right -of -way by a portion of Lot 5, Russian Creek
!Alaska Subdivision, and
WHEREAS, the owners of Lot 5, Russian Creek Alaska
Subdivision, Clarence E. and Clarence R. Langford, also
to subdivide their land, and propose
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Planning and Zoning
Commission has recommended that equal portions of land be
exchanged in order to create more regularly shaped parcels with
frontage on established right -of -way.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island
Borough Assembly that the administration be authorized to negoti-
I ate the exchange of equal portions of land between the Kodiak

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED

Clarence R. Langford, and
that the Borough Mayor be
authorized to execute a Quitclaim Deed effecting the exchange
upon receipt of a similar deed executed by Clarence E. and
Clarence R. Langford.

RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY REQUESTING
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES IN THE VICINITY OF THE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
TO THE CITY OF KODIAK.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough and the City of Kodiak are
interested in exchanging land in the vicinity of the Municipal Airport; and
WHEREAS, it will be to the advantage of both governments that
Borough land involved in the exchange be annexed to the City of Kodiak.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly that it requests annexation of the lands described on the attachment
hereto to the City of Kodiak, upon completion of a land exchange agreement,
and recommends favorable consideration of the annexation by the local
Boundary Commission.
