RESOLUTION NO. 83 -53 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION OF CONTRACT AMENDMENT N0. 3 WITH URS COMPANY FOR ENGINEERING SER-
VICES FOR WATER AND SEWER IMPROVEMENTS FOR SERVICE DISTRICT NO. 1 WITHIN U. S.
SURVEY 1822, U. S. SURVEY 2843, U. S. SURVEY 3099, AND U. S. SURVEY 3233
BETWEEN THE WESTERLY END OF MISSION LAKE AND JACKSON LANE.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough by Resolution No. 82 -13 -R ap-
proved a contract with URS Company for design of water and sewer improvements
in Service District No. 1; and
WHEREAS, the construction contract for the first two segments was
awarded on April 21, 1983; and
WHEREAS, the design of the third segment is nearly completed; and
WHEREAS, the Service District No. 1 Advisory Board recommended on
April 19, 1983 that additional water and sewer system improvements be designed
within U. S. Survey 1822, U. S. Survey 2843, U. S. Survey 3099, and U. S.
Survey 3233 between the westerly end of Mission Lake and Jackson Lane; and
WHEREAS, the present bidding climate indicates that sufficient funds
are available to complete necessary improvements on Spruce Cape.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that Amendment No. 3 for providing additional engineering services by URS
Company is approved with cost and fixed fee not to exceed the following:
Cost $ 58,260
Fixed Fee 9,700
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the above expenditures are hereby
authorized from funds received for the Island Lake Water and Sewer project and
that the Borough Manager is hereby authorized and instructed to execute the
appropriate documents subject to approval by the State of Alaska Department of
Environmental Conservation.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly on this
5th day of May , 1983.
