A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION OF AN OPERATING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH AND
LUTHERAN HOSPITALS AND HOMES SOCIETY OF AMERICA.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough is the owner of certain real
property, together with improvements located thereon and certain equipment
needed in and about the premises known as the Kodiak Island Hospital, and
WHEREAS, the Lutheran Hospital and Homes Society of America has
operated and managed the hospital for five years under an operating agreement
ending May 14, 1983, and
WHEREAS, in the interest of sound fiscal management and to insure
the continued operation of the hospital in a professional and efficient manner
the Borough has requested the Society to continue the operation and management
of the Hospital.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that the Borough Manager is authorized to execute an Operating Agreement
between the Kodiak Island Borough and Lutheran Hospitals and Homes Society of
America which will provide for the Society to operate the Kodiak Island Borough
Hospital.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Articles of Organization and Under-
standing By and Between the Lutheran Hospitals and Homes of America and the
Local Board be attached as an appendix to the Operating Agreement and
incorpated into the Agreement.

the Borough Assembly.
