KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
RESOLUTION NO. 83 -34 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY APPROVING THE FY 84:
SCHOOL DISTRICT BUDGET AND DETERMINING THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF MONEY TO BE MADE
AVAILABLE FROM LOCAL SOURCES.
WHEREAS, AS 14.14.060 specifies that the Borough school board shall
submit the school budget for the following school year to the Borough Assembly
by April 1 for approval, and
WHEREAS, within thirty days after receipt of the budget the Assembly
shall determine the amount of money to be made available from local sources for
lischool purposes and shall furnish the school board with a statement of the sum
I be made available, and
WHEREAS, Kodiak Island Borough School District did an March 28, 1983
approve the FY 84 budget in the amount of $13,955,821 and transmit this to the
Kodiak Island Borough Assembly, and
WHEREAS, the budget requests that a total of $1,372,497 be
appropriated from local sources.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly,
accepts the FY 84 Kodiak Island Borough School District budget in the amount of
$13,955,821 and hereby authorizes a local appropriation in the amount of
51,372,497 fran local sources as part of the FY 84 budget.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Borough staff is hereby instructed to
notify the School District of this action and to take all steps necessary to
ssure that the local appropriation is included in the FY 84 Kodiak Island
orough budget.
