RESOLUTION NO. 83 -30 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
WHICH ESTABLISHES BOARD OF EQUALIZATION DATES FOR THE 1983 ORIGINAL TAX
ASSESSMENT VALUATION ROLL.
WHEREAS, Title 3, Chapter 20 of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of
Ordinances provides for the assessment, levy and collection of taxes in the
Kodiak Island Borough and for equalization hearings after notice that the
assessment roll has been completed, and
WHEREAS, the Acting Borough Assessor has notified the Kodiak Island
B orough Assembly that she has completed the 1983 Original Tax Ro11 and has
Mailed assessment notices and has published notice that the assessment roll
has been completed and that such notice stated when and where the equalization
'!will be heard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Equalization of
the Kodiak Island Borough shall assemble and meet for the purpose of equaliza-
tion hearings on Monday, May 9, 1983 at 6:30 P.M., in the Borough Assembly
Chambers with Tuesday, May 10, 1983 and Wednesday, May 11, 1983 as alternate
dates in the event that more than one (1) day is needed to complete the
hearings of the Board of Equalization and that the Assessor has caused notice
that the assessment rolls have been completed and such notice published in
the Kodiak Mirror, a newspaper of general circulation published in the Kodiak
Island Borough April 14, and 21, 1983 stating that the assessment rolls have
been completed and stating when and where the equalization hearing will be
held.
