1983-28 Authorizing The Acquisition Of Construction Easements To Accommodate Construction Of Lilly Drive And Eider Street In Service District No. 1.1 A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF CONSTRUCTION EASEMENTS TO ACCOMMODATE 1 CONSTRUCTION OF LILLY DRIVE AND EIDER STREET IN SERVICE DISTRICT NO. 1. WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly approved Resolution No. 81 -22 -R on May 7, 1981 authorizing preliminary and design of Lilly Drive and Eider Street under the Local Service Roads and Trails Program, and WHEREAS, design of those roadways has been completed, and WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly authorized the receipt and expenditure of the following State grants by 1 1 approving Resolution No. 82 -52 -R on August 5, 1982: Grant No. 8 -840 Eider Street; Grant No. 8 -841 Lilly Drive, Phase I; and WHEREAS, Borough staff have been unsuccessful in ..,obtaining the easements necessary to proceed with construction, from the following property owners in Miller Point Alaska Subdivision, First Addition: Lot 6, Block 1 Kermit and Elaine Dowse; Lot 11, Block 6 Kermit and Elaine Dowse; Lot 6, Block 10 Samuel and Agnes Selvog. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Borough Manager is authorized to negotiate and execute the necessary easement agreements or initiate condemnation proceedings as may be necessary.
