A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING THE RESULTS OF THE JANUARY 11, 1983
SPECIAL ELECTION FOR THE MONASHKA BAY ROAD SERVICE AREA.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Law, the Kodiak Island Borough held'.
a Special Election in the Monashka Bay Road Service Area, on
January 11, 1983, at which time the following proposition was
voted on:
PROPOSITION
"Shall the Kodiak Island Borough exercise Road
Powers within the Monashka Bay Road Service Area
including but not limited to road design, construc-
tion, maintenance and administration for improve-
ment of public roads ?"
WHEREAS, the returns of said election have been delivered
to and canvassed by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island
Borough Assembly:
Section 1. That the Assembly finds and hereby ratifies
and declares the results of the Special Election held within the
Kodiak Island Borough Monashka Bay Road Service Area, on Tuesday,
January llth, 1983, to be as follows:
That the Proposition received 36 YES votes and
that there were 7 NO votes cast. Therefore, the Monashka
Bay Road Service Area shall exercise Road Powers.
