A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING THE
RECEIPT AND EXPENDITURE OF A RURAL DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE GRANT.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough (hereinafter called the Grantee)
has been appropriated funds by the State of Alaska (hereinafter called the
State) Rural Development Assistance Grant, and
WHEREAS, the Grantee is willing to purchase two fire truck tankers
Womans Bay and Bayside, and
WHEREAS, the Grantee has the authority under State Law or local
charter to purchase the equipment for which funds were appropriated, and
WHEREAS, the State has the authority to enter into an agreement
with the Grantee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island Borough is
Thereby authorized to receive and expend the Rural Development Assistance Grant
in the amount of $200,000 for the purchase of two fire truck tankers for
Womans Bay and Bayside.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly that
the Borough Manager is hereby authorized to prepare and submit a grant
agreement with the State of Alaska for the fire truck tankers.
