A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING A
TIMBER SALE ON TRACT C OF THE CHIHIAK SUBDIVISION.
WHEREAS, Chapter 18.70 of Borough Code provides for Timber Sales
to salvage fire damaged timber; and
WHEREAS, a wild fire did occur on Borough property described as
Tract C of Chiniak Subdivision during the summer of 1981 which resulted in a
large amount of dead and standing timber; and
WHEREAS, the fire damaged timber needs to be salvaged before its
value is lost to the Borough as a resource.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly l [
that staff is authorized to conduct a timber sale on Tract C, Chiniak Sub-
division, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 18.70 of Borough Code.
