A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING A
SHORT TERM LEASE AT ONION BAY, RASPBERRY ISLAND.
WHEREAS, Title 18 of Borough Code requires of all land disposals
.by the Planning and Zoning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on
October 25, 1982 on the requests of Peter and Teresa Holm to purchase five (5)
acres apiece on Raspberry Island and recommended a short term lease on December
15, 1982; and
WHEREAS, Peter and Teresa Holm's have tried unsuccessfully for
''many years to obtain federal and state land use permits for the site of their
gillnet operation and had their State lease application terminated because
,!the land involved was conveyed to the Borough.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that a short term lease is authorized to Peter and Teresa Holm in Section 32,
Township 24 South, Range 24 West, Seward Meridian, Kodiak Island Borough, Alaska
with the following conditions:
1. Lease term is for one (1) year or until the date of the
Onion Bay Land Sale;
2. Property to be leased is the area containing the Holm's
improvements; and
3. Annual rental shall be $500.00.
