A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF A CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO. 2 WITH URS
COMPANY FOR CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR WATER AND SEWER IMPROVEMENTS
IN SERVICE DISTRICT NO. 1.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough by Resolution No.
82 -13 -R approved a contract with URS Company for design of water
and sewer improvements in Service District No. 1; and
WHEREAS, the design of the first two segments is nearly
completed; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Assembly has authorized staff to
advertise for construction of the first two segments; and
WHEREAS, the first project, consisting of segments one
and two, will be advertised for bidding early in January of 1983;
and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough desires to have URS
Company continue with project administration through the bidding
and construction phases.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island
Borough Assembly that Amendment No. 2 for providing construction
services by URS Company is approved with cost and fixed fee not
to exceed the following:
Cost $327,143
Fixed Fee 54,000
Contingencies 19,057
Total Cost $400,200.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above expenditures are
hereby authorized from funds received for the Island Lake Water
and Sewer project and that the Borough Manager is hereby
authorized and instructed to execute the appropriate documents
subject to approval by the State of Alaska Department of
Environmental Conservation.
