iI A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING THE
! PREPARATION AND EXECUTION OF AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR WATER AND SEWER
lI IN SERVICE DISTRICT NO. 1.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak City Council has requested that the Kodiak Island
!j Borough assume responsibility for service and billing of approximately 416
'i water services and 110 sewer services in Service District No. 1 in order that
I the City is completely relieved of any obligation to service these accounts,
it
and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough by Resolution No. 81 -63 -R agreed
1 to assume responsibility for water and sewer service in Service District No. 1,
! and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough is willing to undertake the design
and construction of various water and sewer improvements in Service District
No. 1 to the extent allowed by available funding, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has instructed staff to develop
an intergovernmental agreement with the City detailing the transition of
responsibility of these and future accounts from the City of Kodiak to the
I Borough.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Kodiak Borough Assembly resolves that the Borough
Manager is hereby authorized to prepare and execute on behalf of the Borough an
Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Kodiak for Water and Sewer in
Service District No. 1.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly this
