RESOLUTION NO. 82 -81
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND AUTHORIZING ADMINISTRATION OF CEIP GRANTS.,
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly authorized application td
the State of Alaska, Department of Community and Regional Affairs for Coastal
Energy Impact Program (CEIP) grants (Resolution No. 82- 88 -R); and
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska has made final award determinations
regarding the CEIP Section 308(6) Planning Grant applications for "Round 6 ";
and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has received approval for funding
for the following projects:
Coastal Sensitivity Analysis for $140,000,
Outer Continental Shelf Information and Liaison for $35,000, and
Karluk Comprehensive Development and Capital Improvement Plan
for 520,000; and

WHEREAS, the administration of o these grants will be based on a
contract with the State of Alaska, including a scope of services that reflects
the intent of the original grant application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly authorizes the Manager to execute contracts with the State of Alaska
for
the receipt and administration of the below mentioned grants:
Outer Continental Shelf Information and Liaison for 535,000,
and
Karluk Comprehensive and Ca Improvement Plan for $20,OOO

The Assembly requests that staff develop and receive approval
administrative procedures and scope of services for the Coastal nSensitivity
Analysis Grant ($140,000) prior to entering into a contractural agreement with i
the State of Alaska; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager is authorized to execute
further amendments to contracts for the Outer Continental Shelf Information an4
Liaison Grant and the Karluk Comprehensive and Capital Improvement Plan Grant, i
if such amendments do not significantly alter the intent of the project. Any
amendments to the Coastal Sensitivity Analysis Grant must receive prior
approval from the Assembly.
