RESOLUTION NO. 82 -76 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY REAPPORTIONING
THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION. (Mayor Herrnsteen)
WHEREAS, Alaska Statutes Section 29.33.080(A) states: "Commission
membership shall be apportioned so that the number of members from first class
cities reflects the proportion of borough population residing within those
cities "; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 2.24 of Borough Code states: "Commission member-
ship shall be reapportioned according to the fluctuation of population within
the Borough and its first -class cities by resolution of the Borough Assembly
at the expiration of the terms of Commission Members. "; and
WHEREAS, the results of the recently completed special census
show an official boroughwide population of 12,518 and a City of Kodiak population
of 5,680 on August 1, 1982; and
WHEREAS, three members of the Commission have terms of office
expiring on October 31, 1982.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough
of the Planning and Zoning Commission is hereby
in accordance with State law and Borough Code, as follows:
