AND CONFIRMING THE RESULTS OF THE OCTOBER 5, 1982 GENERAL ELECTION.

I WHEREAS, Pursuant to Law, the Kodiak Island Borough held a
General Municipal Election in

I Section 1: That the Assembly finds and hereby ratifies and
declares the results of the General Municipal Election held within the
Kodiak Island Borough on Tuesday, October 5, 1982 to be as follows:
THAT for the position of Assemblymen for three -year terms, the
following votes were cast:
THAT WILLIAM D. BEATY received 601 votes; FRANCES CATER
received 705 votes; JOHN A. PARKER received 642 votes; CHARLES H. TATE
received 164 votes; DAVID WAKEFIELD received 836 votes; Write -in votes
were received for 8111 Williams (4); Fred Greer (1); Guy Powell (1);
Stubbe (1); Ben Olds (1); Bryce Gordon (1); and Jerome Uranus ( me Se lb

THAT DAVID C. CROWE, SR. received 520 votes; MIKE EMMICK re-
ceived 446 votes; RICHARD L. KNOWLES received 270 votes; MARY JO
SIMMONS received 891 votes; DAVID W. THOMPSON received 495 votes;

Therefore, it is hereby declared that MARY JO SIMMONS has been
elected for one of the three -year seats and that none of the other
candidates received in excess of forty percent (40 %) of the votes cast
for his respective office as required by Section 29.28.040 of the Alaska
Statutes, Municipal Code. Therefore, a run -off election shall be held
within the Kodiak Island Borough for the position of three -year School
Board Member on November 2, 1982, and notice of the run -off election
shall be published at least five (5) days before that date, and at the
majority of the votes for that office

THAT for the positions of Service District Advisory Board for
the Bells Flats- Russian Creek Service Area three -year terms, the follow-
