A RESOLUTION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH TO SUPPORT
THE REQUEST MADE BY THE SENIOR CITIZENS OF KODIAK INC. FOR THE PIONEERS HOMES
DIVISION TO DO A FEASIBILITY STUDY OF THE NEED FOR A PIONEER HOME IN KODIAK. i
WHEREAS, the Borough Assembly of the Kodiak Island Borough has
addressed the need for Pioneer Home support in previous resolutions, 81 -12 -R
and 81 -2 -R (see attached); and
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly that the Senior Citizens of the Kodiak Inc. have requested a
feasibility study for the need for a Pioneer Home in Kodiak by the Pioneer Home's
Division; and
WHEREAS, a Steering Committee appointed by the Senior Citizens Inc.
Board of Directors has been examining the housing situation in Kodiak for its
Seniors;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Assembly direct a letter of
support to LouisOdsather of the Pioneer Homes Division to perform a feasibility]
study as soon as possible.
