RESOLUTION NO. 82 -63 -R
II A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING A
NEGOTIATED LEASE TO B.P.O.E. LODGE #1772 FOR A PORTION OF USS 3465.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered a request
for a lease from B.P.O.E. Lodge #1772 at its July 21, 1982 meeting, in accord-
..' ance with Section 18.20.030 of Borough Code; and
WHEREAS, the Commission found that U.S. Survey 3465 was surplus to
Borough needs and appropriate for use by organized youth groups as a water
related activities center and meeting site;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Assembly that it authorizes
' ;the administration to negotiate a public interest lease with B.P.O.E. Lodge
#1772 for a portion of U.S. Survey 3465, Tract A, Lot 1, with the following
;conditions:
1. Lease term is twenty -five (25) years;
2. Annual rent is $1.00;
3. No trees larger than twelve (12) inches in diameter are to be
disturbed without written authorization from the Borough;
4. A development plan will be approved by the Planning Commission
prior to any construction;
5. The partially destroyed quonset hut present on the property
will be removed by the Elks;
