RESOLUTION NO. 82 -27 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING THE
RECEIPT AND EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS TO CONSTRUCT A SCHOOL AT CHINIAK.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has been appropriated funds by
the State of Alaska to construct a school at Chiniak, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough is willing to undertake the perform-
ance of various activities as authorized by the State, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has the authority under State Law
to provide the services for which the funds were appropriated, and
ii
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska has the authority to enter into an
agreement through the Department of Education to make funds available for the
'construction of a school at Chiniak.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island Borough is hereby
authorized to receive and expend funds under Grant No. 52 -82 in the amount of
$1,991,000.00 to construct a school at Chiniak in accordance with the following
established budget:
0 - Land $ 1,700.00
1 - Site investigation 33,000.00
2 - Other Services 28,300.00
3 - Design Services 168,815.00
4 - .Administration 9,200.00
5 - Design division 24,636.00
6 - Construction division 99,524.00
7 - Equipment 80,000.00
8 - Construction contract 1,545,825.00
DOT Restricted funds 9,000.00

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the manager or his designee is authorized
and instructed to execute the appropriate documents for the construction of the
f hiniak school in accordance with the above budget.
