1982-24 Supporting House Bill 801 - Day Care Center.A RESOLUTIUJ OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY SUPPORTING HOUSE
BILL 801 -DAY CARE CENTER.
WHEREAS, Small World, Inc. has been operating in Kodiak for a number
of years, providing excellent care for Kodiak's little children thus allowing
parents to work with full confidence that their children will be supervised and
cared for properly, and
WHEREAS, now with the Center in danger of closing through their lease
being revoked, many parents will be unable to work for lack of proper child care,
and
WHEREAS, House Bill 801 introduced in the Legislature of the State of
Alaska, Twelfth Legislature- Second Session, provides for a special appropriation
for payment as a grant to the City of Kodiak for the purchase or construction of
a Day Care Center.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
earnestly supports House Bill 801.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly that the
Borough administration be directed to send this resolution to Senator Mulcahy
and Representatives Zharoff and Sutcliffe and implore their assistance in the
, successful adoption of this legislation,
