A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING
PARTICIPATION IN THE KODIAK ISLAND TRANSPORTATION STUDY PROCESS.
WHEREAS, representatives from the Department of Transportation and
Public Facilities, State of Alaska, have proposed the establishment of a
cooperative planning effort involving the governmental agencies having
'responsibility for transportation systems in Kodiak, and
WHEREAS, the subject proposal has been concurred with by both Kodiak
I sland Borough and the City of Kodiak, and
WHEREAS, there is an extreme need for establishment of an ongoing
transportation planning process for better coordination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
of Kodiak, Alaska that the State of Alaska's proposal to establish the Kodiak
Island Transportation Study Process is supported and the Manager is hereby
directed to participate in such study.
