A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH AUTHORIZING STAFF TO EFFECT
C ERTAIN CONTRACT CHANGES ON THE HIGH SCHOOL ROOF PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly awarded a contract in the
amount of $29,149 to Haeg- Bettis Associates for the design of the High School
Roof Repairs at the June 5th continuation of the June 4, 1981 regular meeting,
and
WHEREAS, no contract was formally executed, and
WHEREAS, during the design and preparation of contract documents it
was found that additional work was required beyond the scope of the consultants
;proposal dated May 5, 1981, and
WHEREAS, in the interest of expediting the work, the Facilities
Coordinator verbally authorized the additional work prior to knowing the costs,
and
WHEREAS, an audit of the completed work shows allowable costs of
$27,869.77 and
WHEREAS, the consultant has submitted a proposal for contract
amendments dated February 18, 1982, to cover the remaining work in an amount not
to exceed $9,886.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
authorizes the Borough Manager to execute a design contract with Haeg - Bettis
Associates in the amount of $37,7S5.77.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly this 4th
day of March , 1982.
