RESOLUTION NO. 82 -9 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY ACCEPTING FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE FOR THE EXECUTION OF THE LAND DISPOSAL PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, AS 38.04.021 provides for financial assistance to municipalities
executing a land disposal program of general grant land entitlements received
from the State of Alaska, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough did submit Resolution No. 81-62-R
entitled "A Resolution of the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly Requesting Financial
Assistance for the Disposal of Municipal Grant Land Entitlement ", such
resolution dated September 3, 1981, and
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska has notified the Kodiak Island Borough
that it has approved a grant in the amount of $187,500 to be matched by $37,500
subject to certain conditions in a letter dated December 22, 1981 from the
Department of Natural Resources.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly resolves that the
Borough Manager, Phil C. Shealy, be authorized to notify the Department of
Natural Resources of the acceptance of the tentative grant offer under the
Municipal Land Disposal Grant Program subject to the conditions stated and to
Provide the required local match of $37,500 from the Land Sale Fund.
