1982-06 Adopting The Port Lions Comprehensive Development Plan Dated January, 1982.A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY ADOPTING THE
PORT LIONS COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT PLAN DATED JANUARY 1982. (Community
Development Department).
WHEREAS, the City of Port Lions, Alaska requested assistance from
the Kodiak Island Borough to accomplish a revision to its 1975 Comprehensive
j i Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough obtained a grant from the
State of Alaska's Department of Community and Regional Affairs to pay for a
i portion of the cost for plan preparation and budgeted the remainder as a local
i i contribution; and
WHEREAS, the firm Environmental Science and Engineering was selected)
by the Borough to prepare a plan for Port Lions and has accomplished that task;
and
WHEREAS, the Port Lions City Council conducted a public hearing on
December 10, 1981 and adopted the Plan with changes; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Planning and Zoning Commission
conducted a public hearing on December 16, 1981 and adopted the Plan with
changes noted from the City of Port Lions, the consultant and the staff.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island Borough, in
accordance with Alaska Statutes Section 29.33.085(b) hereby adopts the
document entitled Port Lions Comprehensive Development Plan, January 1982, and
incorporates same into the Kodiak Island Borough Comprehensive Plan.
