1980-01 Setting Up And Appointing An Architectural Review Board.it ( Assembly creates duties: MAKE -UP A /Section 1: Ii Resolution No. 80 -1 -R 'Page 1 KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH RESOLUTION NUMBER 80 -1 -R A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY SETTING UP AND APPOINTING AN ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD. WHEREAS, the procedure by which the Borough buildings have in the past been designed and constructed has led to costly repairs, and, WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough seems to be inundated by cronic deficiencies in Borough buildings, and, WHEREAS, these costly deficiencies seemingly appear through problems in architecture, construction and poor design in relation to their adaptation to local climatic conditions, and, WHEREAS, on November 7, 1979, the Borough Assembly directed the Mayor by unanimous vote to set up the footwork for an Architectural Review Board in order that these cronic building problems shall have a local solution, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island Borough an Architectural Review Board with the following make -up and The Board shall consist of ten (10) members appointed by the Mayor. Four (4) seats shall be filled by: (1) The School Superintendent, or his representative (2) The Borough Manager, or his representative (3) One Member of the Assembly (4) One Member of the School Board. The remaining six (6) seats shall be made up of people in the building business (i.e. Engineers, Architects, Builders, Plumbers, Roofers, Elec- tricians, etc.). They shall have staggered three - year terms so that two (2) seats are renewed each year. Section 2: A quorum shall consist of six (6) members.
